Course: Oncology Core II Curriculum: Cancer Patient Treatment

Description: This is the second level of learning designed to assist the bedside nurse caring for the patient undergoing cancer treatment. Phase II is a two day course reviewing the principles of cancer treatment and side effect management, with an emphasis on chemotherapy. The content reviews the use of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy as treatments for cancer.

Who should attend: RNs new to oncology or needing to review the nursing considerations for cancer treatment.
